So I’m starting something called The Tumblr Project. Tumblr user horizoned aka Trevor made a video awhile back called A Message To The Haters And The Hated. During the video he said if everyone sent nice messages everyday instead of hateful ones, everyone would be happier, including the sender. So that inspired me to to this. Here’s how it will work:

• Everyone who wants to join can
• You will be assigned another user who has joined the project
• Everyday you will anonymously send them a message. A nice message.
• Not something like “hope you have a nice day"
• Actually take the time to learn about them, read their about me, navi, faq, wherever they have information about themselves.
• Send them a different message everyday, not the same things over and over again.
• You can tell them about yourself, what’s going on in your life, what you did that day, whatever you please.
• But it has to be nice, happy, funny, whatever, just have a positive attitude.
• If you’ve gone a certain number of days without self-harming, let them know (if you’re ok with it), it’s something to celebrate.
• Please don’t lie about yourself and don’t lie about what you say, the point of this is to possibly make a new friend.
• You have to stay anonymous the entire time, if you’re not that defeats the purpose.
• Now, when you receive a message, you cannot publish it.
• It’s for you to save, to read over whenever you need to, if you need to see something happy, or if you’re bored. Whatever you want to do with it, just don’t publish or delete it.
• After the project has been going on for a certain amount of days I will tell you it’s time to reveal yourself. Send them a message that day, a happy one just like you would on any other day of the project, but don’t send it anonymously.

What I’m hoping is that this ‘project’ will help people be happier in life and you can make a new friend too.
